Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can: no cookies, no ads, no tracking you across the web. What you send us, we use to reply, to do the work and to bill for it, and nothing else.

Who we are
three55 studio (ABN 91 672 980 698) is a design studio in Sydney, NSW, run by Judy and Shrawani. In this policy "we" and "us" means the studio. It covers this website and the personal information we handle when you get in touch or work with us, and follows the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Questions about it go to hello@three55.studio.
Visiting the site
You can look around without telling us who you are. The site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or fingerprinting scripts.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and stores nothing in your browser. It records the pages viewed, how quickly they loaded, the site that sent you, your country, and your browser, operating system and device type, and reports them to us only as totals. It doesn't identify you or follow you to other sites; see Cloudflare's notes on Web Analytics.
Like any website, our host keeps short-lived server logs (your IP address, browser, the pages requested and when) to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don't use them to identify anyone.
Your browser keeps one small note for the length of your visit (in session storage, not a cookie) so the opening animation plays only once. It never leaves your device and is gone when you close the tab. If you pause the site's motion (the button at the foot of each page), your browser remembers that choice in local storage until you turn it back on; that never leaves your device either.
Getting in touch
When you email us we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to write. When you start a project through our enquiry form, which runs on Typeform, you give us your name, email, business and the details of your project (such as scope, timing and budget). Typeform stores your answers for us under its own privacy policy.
You can ask us something without giving your full name. We do need a way to reply, and once we're quoting or working together we'll need to know who we're dealing with.
Working with us
For a project we keep the contact details of the people we work with, billing details (business name, ABN and address), the materials you send us (briefs, copy, images, brand files) and any logins you share so we can build or launch your site. We ask for logins only when the work needs them, keep them in a password manager, and stop using them when the work is done.
We show finished work, and results you've agreed to share, in our portfolio and case studies. We'll always ask before publishing anything that isn't already public.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, do the work, send invoices and keep the records the law asks of a business. We don't sell your information, trade it, or add you to a mailing list. If we ever send a newsletter, it will be only to people who ask for it.
Who else sees it
Only the studio, and the services we use to run it: our email provider (Google), Typeform for enquiries, our website host (Cloudflare, which also counts visits), file storage and our accounting software. Each handles your information only to provide its service to us. Some of them store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union; we choose established providers with security practices we can rely on.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or with an adviser such as our accountant or lawyer, who is bound to keep it confidential.
Keeping it safe
We use accounts with two-step sign-in, a password manager and up-to-date devices, and we give access only to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever put your information at risk, we would tell you and take the steps the law requires.
We keep enquiries that don't go ahead only as long as we need to follow them up. We keep project and billing records for as long as tax and business law requires (generally five years), then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted (except what we must keep by law). Email hello@three55.studio and we'll reply within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll try to put it right. If we can't, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
When what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
